The story of Yankera begins with me. I wanted my brand to have elements of me and my name. Accessories are symbolic and a brand promoting sustainable fashion accessories needs to have that in its name. Yankera is a combination of Yanka + Kera where Yanka is from my name, Priyanka and Kera means nature. Hence the name Yankera, “The Symbol of Nature”
As a part of an undergraduate college assignment in 2017 to design corporate branding.
The theme of Yankera is inspired by the two elements of nature, that is Earth and Water. Water is symbolic of healing, fluidity and unconditional love whereas Earth symbolizes prosperity, fertility, stability and dependability. This is exactly what the brand is about, healing and giving.
The logo has the water and earth elements represented in their symbolic forms and colours where the upper left represents water and the lower right as Earth. Not only this, the logo has Y and K as Yankera.
