Climate change is something that everybody is aware of but not everyone understands its seriousness of it. We read about it in papers, articles, online sources and news channels but quite often the issue gets ignored by many. Therefore, my aim for this project was to educate people through a fun-to-read and view comic-style representation
I have taken inspiration from the popular 90's show called 'Captain Planet' and the book 'All We Can Save' by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katherine K Wilkinson. The story base of the comic would be similar to Captain Planet but all the characters would be women activists from the above-mentioned book.
EXPLORATIONS
Firstly, I started out by assigning different women from the book as the characters from Captain Planet for the role of Spirit of Earth, Gaia I chose Eunice Newton Foote because, in 1856, she theorized that changes in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere could affect the Earth’s temperature i.e THE GREENHOUSE GASES making her the first women not only in climate change but also the one who discovered the greenhouse gases.
